Tucson Tasting Room & Vineyard

After purchasing an 8-acre parcel of land in northern Tucson, we saw the potential for a vineyard in the heart of the Sonoran Desert. Starting with heat loving varietals, we planted Viognier, Petite Sirah, Malbec, Sangiovese, and Tempranillo in our boutique vineyard. Despite the heat and monsoon activity, the vines flourished and started producing fruit. The soil and weather of the desert gives the grapes a more nuanced flavor, color, density and aroma.

Willcox Tasting Room & Vineyard

Planted in 2016 by Kief Joshua, the vineyard was purchased by the Peltons in 2022. The original vineyard already had 7 planted acres total containing Barbera, Malvasia Bianca, Viognier, Cab Franc, Syrah, and Negro Amaro. In 2023, we expanded by adding 8 more acres of Merlot, Malbec, Graciano, Tempranillo, Fiano, and Marsanne that will be in production by 2025.

Construction started on the new facility in April 2023. Creating such a large space gave us the opportunity to offer services to other vineyards in the area to process fruit and craft bespoke wines for clients without their own wineries. Mark has a longstanding relationship with many businesses in the area and offers an open environment for start-up wineries to collaborate and create wines that express their individual identities.

We are open starting May 17th – contact us to schedule a tasting.

Our Wines

We make elegant, intensely flavored, and well-balanced wines that showcase the taste of the desert

We are committed to using traditional approaches to the craft of wine-growing and winemaking in a natural way.

Viognier is renowned for its pronounced floral aromas and terpenes, with a distinctive bouquet of lush, powerful garden flowers and ripe stone fruit, leading to a vibrant, expressive, and aromatic palate.

Malvasia Bianca

Originating from Greece and favored in Sicily, Malvasia Bianca is celebrated for its deep hue, aromatic distinction, and gentle sweetness, presenting a full body and smooth finish, with peach and apricot notes.

A global favorite, Chardonnay, crafted from versatile green-skinned grapes, adapts across varied climates. It spans a spectrum from crisp and clean to richly oaky, with a broad range of  complex taste profiles.

Hailing from Italy and named for the Roman god Jupiter, Sangiovese boasts red cherry and spicy flavors, with an oak-aged complexity, earthiness, and subtle tea nuances, paired with firm tannins and zest.

This French-origin varietal presents a dark purple shade, with rich damson, tobacco, garlic, and raisin notes, delivering juicy fruitiness and delicate violet undertones.

Petite Sirah

Petite Sirah offers an intense, dark inkiness with a bouquet that’s both acidic and firm in texture, featuring herbal and pepper hints, alongside blue fruit, plum, and blueberry flavors.

Moderately thin-skinned, Tempranillo yields a ruby-colored wine that’s medium-bodied alone but often blended for a fuller body, featuring low-to-medium acidity and smooth tannins.

Our Wines

These wines will be coming soon

2023 Rose

Crisp and fruit-forward, this rose is a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec. Made in the “Saignee” method (French for to “to bleed”) we drain off fresh juice from our red wine fermentations before we start the fermentation.

2023 Sauvignon Blanc

Bright and clean, this Sauvignon Blanc was fermented coolly and slowly in stainless steel. Tropical fruits and cut grass on the nose, the palate is tart and clean with flavors of guava and pineapple with a soft and creamy finish.

2023 Sweet Sauvignon Blanc

Lucious and sweet, this Sauvignon Blanc is our first sweet wine produced. Canned Pineapple and citrus on the nose, the palate is notably viscous and lush with flavors of poached pears and pineapples with a lingering, sweet finish.

2023 Estate Viognier

Soft and complex, This Viognier is first vintage from our estate vineyard in Willcox, AZ. Sugar cane and toasted almonds on the nose, the pale is surprisingly creamy with flavors of ripe pears and tropical fruits with a long, nutty finish.

2023 Estate Malvasia

Bold and floral, This Malvasia Bianca is the first vintage from our estate vineyard in Willcox, AZ. Jasmine and passionfruit on the nose, the palate delivers bold notes of dried pineapple, guava, and honey with a long, fruit-driven palate.

2023 Piquette

Unusually and easy-drinking, Piquette is not technically a wine. Made by rehydrating grape skins after pressing off the wine, Piquette is much lower in alcohol, but retains much of the flavor and acidity associated with wine. Makes the perfect beverage for day drinking and picnics.
